Kolsay&Kaindy Lakes

Duration | 1 day
2 hours of trekking
Walking distance | 5 km
Description
The Kolsay and Kaindy Lakes stand as the treasured jewels of both the Almaty region and Kazakhstan. Within a mere 4-hour journey from the city, we will traverse landscapes and find ourselves amidst the majestic mountains, often referred to as the "Kazakhstani Switzerland." Immerse yourself in the pristine beauty of nature as you witness the breathtaking Kolsay lakes.

In close proximity to Kolsay, we will explore one of Kazakhstan's remarkable wonders - Kaindy Lake. This extraordinary lake came into existence as a result of an earthquake that obstructed the river's course, leading to the accumulation of water within the forest. The tops of the trees still emerge from the water, creating a captivating sight that can be found nowhere else in the world.
